| The window in front of you is like a hole in the fabric of the universe - a rectangular piece simply missing. Maybe you know about it already, or maybe you've discovered it by accident. Whatever the case, you step through and find yourself in a room, a friendly attendant waiting to explain the situation to you and even provide you with helpful pamphlets, should they be necessary. Oh, and there's one more thing: your dæmon. If you didn't have one already, then surprise! Now you've got a physical manifestation of your soul in animal form, walking and talking and somehow instinctively knowing everything about you.
